St Francis Bay Golf Club can be found in the St Francis Bay Village. The golf club is situated 90km west of Port Elizabeth, the Eastern Cape’s largest city. The club is famous for its warm hospitality, and scenic 18 holes.

As part of the new R120-billion golf estate, the new magnificent St Francis Links course designed by Jack Nicklaus is currently under construction and due to be completed by the end of 2006.

The dune fields of St Francis will provide a links course as dramatic as the wild Bally-bunion, as startlingly beautiful as Turnberry, as challenging as Royal Troon and as lasting as St Andrews. St Francis Links will capture the imagi-nation of all golfers who simply love the game.

The East London Golf Course has been carved out of in dense coastal bush, hills and dunes. It can be found right on the Indian Ocean, and has hosted six South African Opens. Spectacular views of the sea are found at several points on the course, and each hole is memorable because of it’s extraordinary layout and varied range of challenges.


”The Hill” otherwise known as the Port Elizabeth Golf Course, was founded in 1890. It is considered to be one of the best golf courses in Southern Africa. The club hosted the South African Amateur Championship in 1990.

The Fish River Golf Course offers golfers a parkland type challenge along a beautiful and unspoilt coastline. An essential aspect contributing to the enjoyment of any golf day is the condition of the course and this course was designed to ensure that the natural features of the area are not compromised.

The Royal Port Alfred Golf Course lies midway between Port Elizabeth and East London. The club earned it’s royal prefix in 1927 when the Prince of Wales paid it a visit. With many humps and hollows this golf course offers golfers an exiting and varied round.

Situated in George, at the heart of the Garden Route, Fancourt Hotel & Country Club Estate has transformed the area into the country’s new golf capital. The resort comprises two 18-hole golf courses of the championship class, both designed by Gary Player.
